Abstract

Sustainable use of renewable energy is a necessary prerequisite for the sustenance of the
power/energy industry in Nigeria. In this research we are focused on the use of renewable resources
to generate energy as a means of driving entrepreneurship. The study examined the effects of
renewable energy on rural entrepreneurs in Nigeria. The study used content analysis to analyse
input, thus secondary data sourced from journals, textbooks and internet were used. Method of data
analysis used is content analysis. The study recommends that indigenous entrepreneurial drive be
increased through investments in rural areas in relation to renewable resources in order to add
value to rural entrepreneurs.
