IMPORVING FAMILY INCOME GENERATING PROCESSES FOR SUSTAINABLITY IN THE PRESENT DAY ECONOMY IN SOUTHWEST GEO-POLITICAL ZONE - NIGERIA

Abstract

Income-generating activities are an important input for the sustainability improvement of the
family. In a developing economy, they could play a valuable role in coping with and mitigating
various socio-economic problems. The study examines various ways of improving family income
generating processes for sustainability in the present day economy in South-West Geo-Political
Zone Nigeria. The study discusses possible ways of improving family income generating processes
for sustainability in the present day economy for the survival of the family and populace at large,
problems confronting family members in the income generating processes, and possible solution to
problems confronting family members as a means of providing additional income generating
processes for the family. This finding have shown that members of the family can engage in various
activities that can generate income for the family well-being. For the smooth running of the
activities women have some roles to play in the. In conclusion members of the family should try to
practices the possible ways that can upliftment be used to proffer solutions to the existing problems
that can hinder the development and growth of the business or ventures that can be used to improve
the sustainability in the present day economy of the populace at large. It was recommended among
others that possible income generating processes whereby family members should invest their time,
energy and resources on productive activities for a sure medium capable of enhancing effective
income generating processes.
